Expert Answers about Heartland RV Gateway Fifth Wheel

  • Replacement Wheel For 2017 Heartland Gateway 3800RLB 5TH Wheel Camper
  • The only way to know for sure is to either measure the hub on your 2017 Heartland Gateway 3800RLB 5th Wheel camper or to get me the axle serial numbers off your axles. Then I will be able to determine what hubs were installed on your axles. It is likely that either the Taskmaster Steel Modular Trailer Wheel # TA83VR or Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel # MX59FR will fit as they are both a lug centric design and do not have to align perfectly with the hub on your Heartland. It really comes...

  • Will Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit Work with Existing Lippert Correct Track
  • The Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit part # RR23QX will replace the Lippert Correct Track if present, they will not work together. That said, you won't see much of a change in ride height from switching as they both provide a lift of around 2". The only option we offer for more lift is an axle flip kit but this is only an option if the springs are under the axle, if so then the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit part # K71-384-00 or part # K71-385-00 would work.

  • Can the Dometic 320 Full-Timer Toilet Be Used in place of a Thetford RV Toilet
  • From what I could find on the Thetford toilets, they will use the same flange bolt pattern and footprint as Dometic toilets. So, you should be able to swap it out with the Dometic 320 Full-Timer RV Toilet # DOM87FR without issue. As far as replacing the pin is concerned, we do not carry the Thetford line and I could not locate any information on the pin you are needing. I would recommend reaching out to Thetford directly, this may be something they can provide parts/information for.

  • How to Determine Fifth Wheel Pin Box Model
  • If you are unable to contact your trailer's manufacturer with your VIN to find the factory pin box model number there are some steps you can take which will allow you to determine what pin box model you have so you can purchase a new FlexAir. To do this you will need to follow the steps in the linked help article, which I will go over with you. Start by selecting your pin box style like in the accompanying photo (which you will also find in the help article). You will then need to use...

  • Replacement Brakes for 2013 Heartland Gateway 3200RS with Tandem Axles
  • From what I was able to find, the 2013 Heartland Gateway 3200RS has a GVWR of 14000-lbs, so it would be most likely that the trailer has 5200-lbs or 7000-lbs axles; this size axle would have hubs that accept 12" brakes, so you're likely correct. If you can confirm that your axles have that capacity then they will take 12" brake assemblies. To replace those old brakes I recommend using the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 5.2K to 7K #...
